This program targets low-income seniors in Kern County as recipients of food. Sacks include at least ten items including fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, snack items, and staples. This program is to be both food relief and encouragement of social interaction for seniors.
There are age and income restrictions, and all recipients must be pre-registered. For more information, contact the Salvation Army's Tehachapi office at 661-823-9508.
Location: West Park Activity Center, 410 West "D" St (Directions)
Days & Times: 2nd and 4th Monday of each month; 9:00am - 12:00pm or until available food supply runs out.
