The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District is seeking qualified candidates for a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker. The Park Maintenance Worker performs a variety of semi-skilled and/or skilled tasks related to landscape maintenance, building maintenance and custodial duties for District parks, lands, athletic fields, green spaces, and facilities. This position will be required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Other days of the week will be assigned as needed. Position will start in April and end in August. Hourly wage is non-negotiable. 16-32 hours per week will be assigned based upon departmental needs.

Under the general supervision of the Park and Facility Maintenance Supervisor, the Camp Host performs a variety of volunteer services at the Brite Lake Campground facility, including, but not limited to the provision of customer service and vehicle compliance information, monitoring fee collection, campground and facility inspections, record keeping, light janitorial duties, and encouraging campground rules and regulations compliance. The Camp Host is a volunteer position with 30-40 hours weekly schedule. Camp Host agreements are issued for a minimum of six (6) months and not-to-exceed twelve (12) months, or as negotiated between parties.
