An appointed five-member Board of Directors governs the Tehachapi Valley Recreation & Park District. Three directors are appointed by the Kern County Board of Supervisors; two by the Tehachapi City Council. The Board of Directors is the legislative body of the District and establishes policy and provides broad guidance and general direction for District operation. The state statute, California Public Resources Code, Division 5, Chapter 4, gives the Board wide power and latitude in District operation.
Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District
