Parks and Recreation Month

Parks & Recreation Month is a time to celebrate our parks, appreciate the outdoors, and encourage everyone to get outside, be active, and connect with nature together.
Throughout July, TVRPD will host a variety of events and activities designed to showcase the benefits of our parks and recreational programs. 


We invite you all to join us in celebrating our community’s parks, facilities and activities that bring us together.

Calendar for July 2026 featuring community events in Tehachapi, including farmers' markets, movie nights, and various activities.
Join the Freedom Fest on July 5, 2026, at West Park, Tehachapi! Enjoy free games, a magic show, and more from 12 PM to 6 PM!

 

Join the Cornhole Tournament on July 5 at West Park! Win $250! Register in teams of 2. Open to all ages!
Join the Tehachapi Free Throw Championship! Compete Friday at 6 PM & 7 PM. Ages 8-16+, $5 to enter. Register at TVRPD.org.
Tehachapi Valley's 3PT Shoot Out: Compete for the championship! $5 entry, age categories, register at TVRPD.org.
A youth Home Run Derby on July 17, with age groups and entry fee details, held at West Park baseball field.
A 2-day basketball clinic for grades 5-8 on July 7, 9, 14, and 16, at ABIAC Gym. Cost: $50 in-district, $62.50 out-of-district.
3v3 high school basketball games on July 11th at ABIAC Gym, ages 14-17, $25 in-district, $31.25 out-of-district, teams guaranteed 2 games.
